An auto electrician is a car mechanic that works exclusively on the electrical systems in an automobile. For example, an auto electrician may spend time working on headlights, diagnostic lights, alarm systems, circuit boards, alternators, and related parts.
An employee in this role will typically work as part of a larger team in a garage. It will be their job to diagnose the problems that are impacting a car’s electrical systems. Then, they’ll use their specialized knowledge to repair the problem. Auto electricians also help their customers upgrade their cars’ electrical components.
