The Design Engineer role involves working on enquiries/ RFQs/ tenders on Bellows, Expansion Joints, Hoses, pressure parts, piping accessories obtained from existing and prospective customers.
In this, the engineer has to perform design calculations (empirical) by hand involving principles of Mechanical Engineering. As part of finalizing the design he is expected to draft for the proposed solution. The engineer has to then estimate the cost of the developed product configuration
The design engineer will attend to customer clarifications, spec changes, customer request for additional information and is responsible for obtaining design package approval.
The engineer will also be involved in purchasing raw materials/ bought out items for making the product. The design engineer will participate in production planning, manufacturing, quality activities as part of the manufacturing of the order.
