Machine Model: HMT-K150P
Preventive maintenance has to be performed on regularly.
Ability to set up and operate Landis OD grinder and Heald ID grinder.
Read engineering drawings to grind to specifications
Determine grinding speeds, feed rates, and grinding wheels to be used
Ability to operate quality assurance measurement instruments: calipers and micrometers
Ability to measure and grind to total tolerances as little as ± .002
Check grinding wheels for cracks, change worn wheels as needed
Observe machine during operation
Follow production schedule set by supervisor
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Work all safety policies and PPE requirements
Follow standardized processes
Requirements
3 to 5 year minimum experience operating Cylindrical Grinders
Ability to handle light and average weight parts.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Ability to listen and learn from instructions, cooperate, and participate in the department’s training program.
Must be able to perform duties for 8–10-hour shift with flexibility to assignment changes needed to fulfil production needs.
Must pass fit for duty health screening for this type of work.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a group.
Job Type: Full Time / Contract Basis
