Job Summary:
As a Pharmacist Assistant, you will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with prescription processing, preparing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service to patients.
Responsibilities:
1. Process and fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
2. Prepare medications by counting, pouring, and labeling them correctly.
3. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including shelves and dispensing areas.
4. Assist in managing pharmacy inventory, ordering medications, and monitoring stock levels.
5. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their inquiries and concerns professionally.
6. Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to ensure accurate medication dispensing and patient care.
7. Enter prescription and patient information into the pharmacy computer system accurately.
8. Follow established procedures for handling and disposing of pharmaceutical products.
9. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to privacy regulations.
10. Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, processing payments, and maintaining records.
11. Stay updated with pharmaceutical knowledge and industry developments through continuous learning.
12. Assist in medication compounding and other specialized tasks as required.
