Job Description for Logistics and Supply Chain Manager
Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute strategies to optimize the supply chain, focusing on cost reduction, inventory efficiency, and timely delivery.
· Manage and coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution to meet customer demands.
· Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts, maintain relationships, and ensure quality and timely deliveries.
· Analyze data and KPIs to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement within the supply chain, implementing solutions to enhance performance.
· Oversee inventory management, forecasting, and demand planning to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
· Lead and mentor a team, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
· Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain compliance.
Requirements:
· Masters’ degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
· 5+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain management within a B2B ecommerce or similar industry.
· Proven track record of successfully optimizing supply chain processes and implementing efficiency improvements.
· Strong understanding of logistics, transportation, procurement, and inventory management principles.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, proficient in utilizing data to drive decisions.
· Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels.
· Proficiency in relevant software and tools for supply chain management.
