Position: Tailor
Position Overview:
Rentomojo, a leading rental company specializing in mattresses and sofas, is seeking a skilled
and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. As a Tailor, you will be responsible for ensuring the
proper fit, maintenance, and repair of our rental mattresses and sofas. Your expertise in tailoring
and attention to detail will contribute to our commitment to providing high-quality, comfortable,
and well-maintained rental furniture to our customers.
Responsibilities:
● Perform accurate measurements and fittings of mattresses and sofa covers to ensure
proper fit and comfort for customers.
● Perform necessary alterations and repairs on mattresses and sofa covers, such as
resizing, hemming, and sewing new seams.
● Replace worn-out components, including zippers, buttons, and fabric panels, to maintain
the integrity and appearance of the rental furniture.
● Uphold high standards of quality and craftsmanship in all tailoring and repair tasks,
ensuring that finished products meet Rentomojo's guidelines.
● Collaborate with the Operations team to coordinate the timely delivery and pickup of
rental mattresses and sofas for tailoring and repairs.
● Maintain an organized inventory of tailoring supplies, including fabrics, threads, buttons,
and zippers, ensuring an adequate stock at all times.
● Communicate effectively with customers to understand their tailoring requirements and
provide appropriate solutions and recommendations.
● Keep accurate records of tailoring activities, including measurements, alterations, and
repairs performed for each item.
● Adhere to Rentomojo's safety and cleanliness standards, ensuring a clean and tidy
workspace and proper handling of tailoring equipment and materials.
Requirements:
● Proven experience as a Tailor, preferably with experience in tailoring mattresses and
sofas.
● Proficiency in performing measurements, alterations, and repairs on various types of
fabrics and materials.
● Strong attention to detail and precision in executing tailoring tasks to ensure proper fit
and finish.
● Knowledge of sewing machines and other tailoring equipment, with the ability to operate
and maintain them effectively.
● Familiarity with different stitching techniques and garment construction methods.
● Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with customers and
understand their tailoring needs.
● Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing multiple tasks and meeting
deadlines.
● Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
● High level of professionalism, reliability, and integrity.
