Job Title: AutoCAD Drafter/Designer
Job Summary:
An AutoCAD Drafter/Designer is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software. This role involves collaborating with engineers and architects to develop precise and accurate designs for various projects. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and a qualification in BE Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Technical Drawing and Drafting**:
- Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD software based on specifications provided by engineers and architects.
- Develop accurate and precise plans, layouts, and diagrams for mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering projects.
2. **Collaboration and Coordination**:
- Work closely with project teams, including engineers, architects, and other stakeholders, to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss and review designs, incorporating feedback and making necessary revisions.
3. **Documentation and Standards Compliance**:
- Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all drawings and project documentation.
4. **Quality Control and Review**:
- Conduct thorough checks and reviews of drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in the drawings.
5. **Project Management Support**:
- Assist in preparing project schedules, cost estimates, and material lists based on the drawings.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the project team during the construction or manufacturing phases.
6. **Software Proficiency and Innovation**:
- Stay updated with the latest AutoCAD software features, tools, and best practices.
- Explore and implement new drafting techniques and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree (BE) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting/designing.
- **Skills**:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software, including 2D and 3D modeling.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and technical specifications.
