Job Title: CNC Laser Operator
Job Summary:
A CNC Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC laser cutting machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. This role requires interpreting technical drawings, programming machines, and ensuring quality control. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in operating CNC laser machinery, a qualification in a technical field such as Mechanical, Electrical, or related disciplines, and be open to a negotiable salary based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Machine Setup and Operation**:
- Set up CNC laser cutting machines by installing and adjusting tools, fixtures, and workpieces.
- Operate CNC laser machines to cut, shape, and engrave materials according to technical drawings and specifications.
2. **Programming and Editing**:
- Program CNC laser machines using appropriate software and G-code.
- Edit machine programs to optimize performance and ensure precision.
3. **Quality Control**:
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to maintain product quality.
4. **Maintenance**:
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC laser machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines, tools, and equipment.
5. **Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain accurate records of machine operations, including setup, production, and maintenance activities.
- Report any discrepancies, defects, or issues to supervisors and recommend corrective actions.
6. **Safety and Compliance**:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in CNC machining or a related field preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating CNC laser machines.
- **Skills**:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of CNC programming languages, such as G-code and relevant software.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- **Certifications**: CNC certification is a plus.
