Job Title: Lift Technician
Job Summary:
A Lift Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of lift systems. They ensure the safe and efficient operation of lifts, escalators, and moving walkways. The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, adherence to safety standards, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Installation**:
- Install new lift systems, including elevators, escalators, and moving walkways, according to manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
- Assemble, install, and wire electrical control systems and connect power supplies.
2. **Maintenance and Repair**:
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure lift systems are functioning correctly and safely.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in lift systems.
- Replace defective parts, such as cables, bearings, and gears, and perform adjustments to ensure smooth operation.
3. **Inspections**:
- Conduct thorough inspections and tests on lift systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Record and report any issues or necessary repairs to management and ensure corrective actions are taken.
4. **Customer Service**:
- Communicate effectively with clients and customers to understand their needs and concerns.
- Provide clear and accurate reports on the condition of lift systems and the work performed.
5. **Team Collaboration**:
- Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Participate in training and development programs to stay updated with the latest industry standards and technologies.
Qualifications:
- **Education**: Diploma or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 2-6 years of hands-on experience in lift installation, maintenance, and repair.
- **Skills**:
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and manuals.
- Knowledge of lift safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- **Certifications**: Relevant lift technician certifications or licenses (if required by local regulations).
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working at heights.
Working Conditions:
