Description

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding various types of metals using MIG welding processes, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards. The MIG Welder will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, setting up welding equipment, and performing welds with precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welding Operations: Perform MIG welding on metal components and structures, following blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine weld specifications.
  • Equipment Setup: Set up and adjust welding equipment, including selecting the appropriate welding wire, gas flow rates, and welding parameters based on the job requirements.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect welds for quality and adherence to specifications using gauges, calipers, and visual inspections. Identify and correct defects or inconsistencies.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and wear protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment. Report safety hazards or concerns to supervisors.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment to ensure proper functionality and longevity. Replace worn or damaged parts as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other welders, fabricators, and production team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Communicate progress and any issues that arise.
