Description

Focuses on recovering outstanding debts from individuals or businesses, primarily by contacting debtors to negotiate repayment plans and settlements. They maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions, analyze account information to develop strategies, and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. Success is measured by meeting collection targets and improving cash flow. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contacting Debtors: Reaching out to debtors via phone, email, or written correspondence to discuss outstanding debts. 
  • Negotiating Repayment Plans: Working with debtors to create feasible payment plans or settlements. 
  • Maintaining Records: Keeping accurate and organized records of all communication and transactions related to each debt. 
  • Analyzing Account Information: Studying account details to identify strategies for optimal collection. 
  • Ensuring Compliance: Adhering to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. 
  • Providing Customer Service: Handling sensitive financial discussions with empathy and professionalism. 
  • Collaboration: Working with other team members to share best practices and improve collection efforts. 
  • Monitoring and Updating Accounts: Keeping track of outstanding debts and updating their status as they are paid. 
  • Investigating Disputes: Addressing customer complaints and resolving discrepancies in payments. 
  • Utilizing Technology: Using debt collection software, skip tracing tools, and public records databases.
