Job Summary:
The Restaurant Cashier and Billing Executive is responsible for handling all customer transactions at the front counter. This role involves managing the billing process, processing payments, providing receipts, and ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate should be friendly, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced food service environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and respond to queries promptly.
Accurately record orders and prepare itemized bills using POS systems.
Handle all methods of payments (cash, credit/debit cards, mobile wallets, etc.).
Ensure the accuracy of cash and credit transactions.
Maintain and reconcile the cash register at the beginning and end of shifts.
Issue receipts, refunds, or change to customers as necessary.
Keep the billing counter clean and organized.
Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely order processing.
Handle customer complaints or direct them to appropriate personnel.
Follow all cash handling and financial procedures in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service (restaurant or retail) is a plus.
Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
Basic math and computer skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
