
Perform MIG welding on sheet metal components as per job specifications and engineering drawings.
Set up welding machines and select proper welding parameters (voltage, wire feed speed, gas flow, etc.).
Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Inspect workpieces for defects and ensure welds meet quality and dimensional standards.
Perform grinding, fitting, and finishing tasks as required.
Follow company safety standards and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the welding area.
Collaborate with the fabrication team to meet production schedules.
Identify and report material defects or quality issues to supervisors.
Ability to work with various thicknesses of sheet metal (1mm to 5mm typical).
Proven experience (2–5 years) in MIG welding of sheet metal components.
Experience in electrical panel fabrication or enclosure manufacturing.
Knowledge of TIG welding and other fabrication skills is an added advantage.
