Key Responsibilities:
Assist welders in setting up welding equipment and tools.
Hold, move, or position metal components for welding.
Clean and prepare metal surfaces by grinding, brushing, or using chemical cleaners.
Fetch and organize welding materials, gas cylinders, tools, and consumables.
Help in shifting and storing raw materials or finished products.
Follow safety guidelines and wear proper PPE (gloves, helmet, boots, etc.).
Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area.
Assist in minor fabrication tasks under supervision (cutting, measuring, marking).
Report damaged tools or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
8th/10th Standard or ITI drop-out with basic mechanical aptitude.
Willingness to learn welding and fabrication processes.
Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy materials.
Preferred:
Experience in electrical panel or sheet metal fabrication industries.
