About the Role
Crenodez Engineering Solutions is seeking passionate and detail-oriented candidates for the Additive Manufacturing Engineer - Internship. This role is ideal for engineering students or recent graduates who are eager to work hands-on with 3D printing technologies. Interns will gain exposure to machine operations, process optimization, material handling, and post-processing in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor FDM & DLP 3D printers for part production
Assist in machine calibration, bed leveling, material loading/unloading, and basic maintenance
Support in slicing, file preparation, and G-code verification
Handle post-processing tasks such as support removal, surface finishing, and quality checks
Maintain printing logs, material usage records, and part documentation
Work closely with the design team to assess printability and recommend improvements
Training & Learning Focus
Deep dive into 3D printing technologies with a primary focus on FDM & DLP
Introduction to SLA, SLS, MJF, and other additive manufacturing processes
Basics of slicing software
Troubleshooting and optimizing print settings for quality and efficiency
Material behavior, part orientation strategies, and support structure logic
Safety protocols, maintenance schedules, and production planning fundamentals
Eligibility Criteria
Final-year students or recent graduates in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Production, or related engineering disciplines
Strong interest in digital fabrication and manufacturing technologies
Hands-on aptitude and willingness to work with machines and tools
Knowledge of 3D printing or CAD software is an advantage (not mandatory)
Team player with good communication and reporting skills
Additional Information
This is an unpaid internship focused on skill-building and industry exposure
Interns may assist in client part evaluation and production discussions
Outstanding performers will be offered a Trainee position post-internship (with salary)
Certificate of Completion will be provided
