Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Steel Fabrication Fitter to join our production team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in steel structural fitting, interpreting fabrication drawings, and assembling components as per specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job instructions.
Mark, measure, cut, and fit steel sections as per fabrication drawings.
Carry out layout and assembly of structural steel parts such as beams, channels, angles, plates, etc.
Use hand tools, measuring instruments, grinders, and power tools for fitting work.
Perform tack welding and coordinate with welders for final welding.
Inspect components for dimensional accuracy and ensure alignment.
Drill, tap, grind, or modify parts to achieve proper fit.
Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE during all operations.
Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished parts.
Report any fabrication or dimensional issues to the supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills:
ITI / Diploma in Fitter / Fabrication / Mechanical or equivalent.
Minimum 2–5 years experience in structural / steel fabrication industry.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and fabrication symbols.
Familiar with fabrication tools and measuring instruments (Vernier, tape, square, etc.).
Good understanding of fabrication tolerances and quality standards.
Team player with good physical fitness and attention to detail.
