Job Purpose:
To handle the end-to-end installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of leased line fiber optic connections for corporate and enterprise customers, ensuring uninterrupted, high-performance connectivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform installation and commissioning of fiber leased line connections at client premises (B2B customers).
Conduct fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and signal level analysis to ensure service quality.
Maintain and troubleshoot fiber links using tools like OTDR, Power Meter, Splicing Machine etc.
Coordinate with the NOC team for link activation, service configuration, and fault resolution.
Maintain accurate documentation of installed links, cable routes, test results, and service logs.
Carry out preventive maintenance and scheduled service checks on fiber links.
Assist in laying underground/overhead fiber lines when required.
Respond to emergency outages and ensure minimal service downtime.
