Description

An Assembly Technician Trainee is responsible for building, wiring, and integrating mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components for Fiori Self‑Loading Concrete Mixers at the Chennai facility (FCM India). This role ensures machines are assembled according to engineering and quality standards, tested thoroughly, and prepared for commissioning or shipping.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Component and Sub‑Assembly
    Assemble chassis, mixer drum, loading arms, hydraulic systems, and driveline under engineering specifications and blueprints
  • Mechanical, Hydraulic & Electrical Integration
    Connect hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, motor wiring, control panels, and sensors. Ensure leak-free hydraulic systems and properly routed electrical harnesses.
  • Testing
    Execute functional tests (hydraulic pressure, drum rotation, steering, engine start‑up).
  • Quality Inspections & Troubleshooting
    Identify assembly defects or misalignments, make corrections, liaise with engineering or quality teams for technical resolution.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    Maintain assembly logs, record torque values, serial numbers, hydraulics flow data, and tests passed. Log issues and corrective measures.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    Perform routine machine calibration, lubrication, upkeep of assembly tools and fixtures.
  • Safety & Compliance
    Adhere to workplace safety protocols (PPE, lockout/tagout, hydraulic handling). Ensure compliance with engineering change notices and quality standards.
  • Collaboration
    Work alongside supervisors, design engineers, procurement teams, and test engineers to meet productionass targets.

 

Fiori Concrete Machines India is the only Fiori manufacturing plant outside Italy, producing front-loading DBX and rear-loading DBS self-loading mixers since 2022. Assembly Technicians are central to delivering high-performance, reliable concrete machines—critical in sectors like infrastructure, tunnelling, and urban construction.
