
Job Summary:
The Fitter will be responsible for fitting and assembling mechanical components and systems in accordance with engineering drawings, technical instructions, and safety standards in a manufacturing environment. The role involves installation, maintenance, and repair work to ensure smooth production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Fit and assemble components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as per schedule.
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical faults and ensure timely repair.
Ensure all safety protocols and quality standards are strictly followed.
Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members.
Record maintenance and repair activities as per company procedures.
Support the commissioning of new machines and equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
ITI or Diploma in Fitter/Mechanical/Relevant Trade.
1–5 years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial setup (freshers may also apply).
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Familiarity with safety and quality procedures in manufacturing.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physically fit to work in industrial environments.
Desirable Skills:
Experience in hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Basic welding, fabrication, or machining knowledge.
Understanding of 5S, TPM, or Lean Manufacturing principles.
Work Environment:
Factory floor/industrial workshop setting.
Shift work may be required based on production needs.
