Key Responsibilities of a THT Line Technician/Operator:
Component Insertion:Manually or using automated machines, inserting through-hole components (resistors, capacitors, connectors, etc.) into designated holes on the PCB.
Soldering:Securing the components to the PCB by soldering the leads to the pads on the opposite side, using either hand soldering or automated wave soldering techniques.
Quality Control:Inspecting the assembled PCBs for defects such as solder bridges, cold joints, or misaligned components, and conducting functional testing to ensure proper component functionality.
Workstation Maintenance:Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are in good working condition, and adhering to safety protocols.
Documentation:Recording the assembly and testing data, maintaining accurate records of any defects or issues encountered during the process.
Process Improvement:Participating in identifying areas for process improvement and contributing to the overall efficiency of the THT line.
Troubleshooting:Identifying and resolving any issues related to component placement, soldering, or machine malfunctions.
