Job Title: Meat and Food Delivery Driver
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Meat and Food Delivery Driver to transport fresh and frozen meat, poultry, and other food products to commercial and residential customers. The ideal candidate will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining proper handling and temperature control procedures to guarantee food safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Load, transport, and deliver meat and other food products to assigned locations safely and on time.
Follow pre-planned routes and delivery schedules using GPS or routing systems.
Verify delivery orders with invoices or delivery notes.
Maintain temperature control for perishable products using refrigerated vehicles.
Handle meat and food products with care, ensuring hygiene and food safety standards are met.
Communicate professionally with customers during deliveries and resolve any delivery issues or discrepancies.
Collect payments or obtain delivery confirmations as required.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and compliant with safety standards.
Report any vehicle issues or delays promptly to dispatch or supervisor.
Assist with loading and unloading of products at the warehouse and delivery sites if necessary.
Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Previous delivery driving experience, preferably in the food or meat industry.
Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes (up to [50-75 lbs] depending on the role).
Good knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and handle physical work.
Basic customer service and communication skills.
Familiarity with food safety standards (HACCP or similar) is a plus.
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays if required.
