
Job Summary:
The Service Advisor acts as the key liaison between customers and the service department. They are responsible for understanding customer vehicle concerns, creating accurate job cards, explaining repair needs and costs, ensuring timely service delivery, and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Handling
Greet customers professionally and understand their vehicle service/repair requirements.
Listen to customer concerns carefully and document them clearly on the job card.
Provide detailed explanations of services, repairs, and costs before obtaining customer approval.
Maintain communication with customers during the service process and provide status updates.
Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback effectively to ensure satisfaction.
2. Job Card & Workshop Coordination
Create accurate job cards with all necessary details and customer instructions.
Coordinate with the workshop floor, technicians, and parts department for smooth workflow.
Ensure that required spare parts are available for scheduled work.
Monitor service progress to ensure timely vehicle delivery.
3. Estimation & Billing
Prepare service estimates and get customer approval before proceeding.
Cross-check and finalize billing with transparency.
Explain final invoice details and repairs carried out to customers at vehicle delivery.
4. Quality & Delivery
Conduct a pre-delivery inspection to ensure all customer complaints are resolved.
Ensure cleanliness, quality of repair, and adherence to service standards.
Deliver vehicles on time with proper documentation.
5. Customer Retention & Relationship
Follow up with customers after service for feedback and satisfaction.
Promote value-added services, annual maintenance contracts (AMC), and extended warranties.
Maintain customer records for repeat business and loyalty programs.
Required Skills & Competencies:

Education & Experience:
Diploma / Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering
1–3 years of experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar automotive service role
Knowledge of DMS (Dealer Management Systems) preferred
Freshers with good technical and communication skills may also apply (for junior roles)
