Description

Name of the designation                              : Production Supervisor

Reporting to                                                  : Production Manager

Minimum educational qualification required :  Any Degree

Minimum experience required                    : 2 to 5 years’ experience in Supervisor in Food / Manufacturing Industry

Work in Shifts

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision and Team Leadership: Lead production teams (Packer, Operators and General workers), providing guidance, training, and support to ensure staff members perform their duties effectively.
  2. Production Planning and Scheduling: Production schedules to meet demand while considering factors such as raw material availability, equipment capacity, and workforce capabilities.
  3. Monitor and enforce quality control measures to ensure that food products meet specified standards and regulatory requirements. Address any deviations or issues promptly to the QC In-charge.
  4. Adherence to Safety Regulations: Implement and enforce safety protocols and standards to create a secure working environment. Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations, GMP and HACCP.
  5.  Optimize production processes to enhance efficiency and minimize waste. Identify areas for improvement and implement measures to streamline operations.
  6. Oversee and manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods. Coordinate with Production Manager/Asst. Manager Production to maintain an efficient supply chain.
  7. Ensure that production equipment is properly maintained and serviced to prevent breakdowns. Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repairs and upgrades.
  8. Train new employees and provide ongoing training to existing employees to enhance their skills and knowledge for continuous improvement within the production team.
  9. Effective communication within the production team and collaborate with other departments such as quality control, Maintenance, and Production Manager to address cross-functional issues.
  10. Address and resolve issues that arise during the production process, whether related to equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or workforce challenges.
  11. Work within budgetary constraints, making decisions that optimize manpower resources and contribute to cost-effective production.
  12. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including output, quality control measures, and any incidents. Generate reports for management as needed.
  13. Stay informed about and ensure compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and relevant legal requirements.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance overall production efficiency and product quality
