Cleaning & Disinfection: Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, waiting areas, and corridors using approved chemicals and procedures.
Infection Control: Adhere to strict hospital protocols for preventing infection, including proper cleaning of high-touch surfaces and handling biohazardous waste.
Waste Management: Collect and dispose of regular trash and biohazardous/medical waste according to guidelines.
Laundry Services: Collect, sort, wash, and distribute linens, towels, and other textiles.
Supply Management: Restock patient rooms and public areas with necessary supplies (toiletries, soap, linens) and maintain housekeeping carts.
Maintenance & Reporting: Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department.
Floor Care: Perform duties like sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sometimes waxing floors.
Event Support: Assist with setting up and breaking down furniture for meetings or special events.
Patient Interaction: May assist with patient transport, serving meals, or providing general reassurance to patients and visitors.
