The Poultry Supervisor oversees daily poultry production operations to ensure optimal bird health, productivity, and compliance with biosecurity, safety, and animal welfare standards. This role involves supervising farm staff, monitoring flock performance, and coordinating with veterinarians, nutritionists, and management to meet production targets.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily poultry farm operations including feeding, watering, lighting, and ventilation
Monitor flock health, growth rates, mortality, and egg/meat production
Implement and enforce biosecurity, animal welfare, and hygiene protocols
Supervise, train, and schedule farm workers and technicians
Maintain accurate production, health, and inventory records
Identify and report disease symptoms or abnormal behavior; coordinate treatments
Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and housing facilities
Manage feed usage and minimize waste
Enforce workplace safety policies and ensure regulatory compliance
Assist in planning production cycles and meeting performance targets
