Job Summary
The Heavy Vehicle Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and hygienic transportation of goods such as eggs, feed, raw materials, finished products, and farm supplies. The driver must follow traffic laws, company policies, and food safety standards during all transport operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operate heavy vehicles (lorry / truck / container) safely and efficiently
Transport eggs, poultry feed, raw materials, and finished goods as per delivery schedule
Ensure proper loading, unloading, and securing of goods to avoid damage or breakage
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the vehicle (especially for food & egg transport)
Perform daily vehicle checks (fuel, oil, tyres, brakes, lights, documents)
Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or delays immediately to the supervisor
Maintain trip sheets, logbooks, and delivery documents
Ensure compliance with traffic rules, RTO regulations, and company safety norms
Assist in loading/unloading when required
Support emergency or urgent transport needs when assigned
