A Duty Manager oversees daily operations, ensuring smooth functioning of facilities, customer service, and staff supervision in a specific shift, acting as the senior manager on duty, handling emergencies, resolving complex issues, managing budgets, enforcing policies, and maintaining a positive environment in places like hotels, retail, or healthcare. Key duties involve shift scheduling, staff training, performance monitoring, budget oversight, security, and handling VIPs or challenging guest situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Address complex guest complaints, resolve conflicts, and ensure exceptional service delivery, often handling VIP arrivals.
  • Staff Supervision: Schedule shifts, direct tasks, monitor performance, train new hires, and address employee issues.
  • Security & Safety: Enforce security protocols, manage incidents, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Administrative Tasks: Monitor revenue/cash flow, report on goals, and assist with budgeting.
  • Policy Enforcement: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Operations Management: Oversee all daily activities, from facilities maintenance and cleanliness to ensuring smooth workflows.
