Description

A tipper operator is responsible for safely driving, loading, transporting, and unloading bulk materials (Gravel and M-sand) using a dump truck. Key duties include conducting pre-operation vehicle checks, adhering to safety protocols, maneuvering on uneven terrain, operating hydraulic hoists, and performing basic maintenance to ensure efficiency.

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Pre-Operational Checks: Inspecting engine oil, transmission, radiator coolant, brake fluid, lights, and tires before starting the shift.
  • Safe Operation & Loading: Positioning the vehicle for loading upon signals, ensuring the load is secured, and not exceeding load capacities.
  • Driving & Handling: Safely navigating on roads and rough terrain, obeying speed limits, and ensuring proper clearance, especially under cables.
  • Unloading (Tipping): Using the hydraulic hoist mechanism to discharge materials at designated areas, ensuring stability to prevent rollovers.
  • Maintenance & Safety: Keeping the cabin clean for visibility, checking hydraulic systems, reporting mechanical issues, and using stopper blocks when parking.

Requirements:

  • License: Heavy Commercial Vehicle Driving License (HCV).
  • Skills: Strong maneuvering skills, understanding of safety regulations, and basic technical knowledge for troubleshooting.
  • Attributes: Diligence and alertness to avoid accidents in high-risk environments like mining or construction sites.
