Capacitor Assembly Line Operator

Position Overview

The Capacitor Assembly Line Operator is responsible for executing production activities related to the assembly, winding, soldering, testing, and packing of capacitors in a high‑precision manufacturing environment. The role demands attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented production line.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly & Production

• Operate machines and tools used for capacitor winding, stacking, soldering, and sealing.
• Assemble capacitor components (film, foil, terminals, cases) according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Load raw materials and monitor machine parameters to ensure consistent output.
• Perform manual assembly tasks where required, including lead cutting, taping, and terminal fixing.

Quality Control

• Conduct in-process inspections to verify dimensions, winding quality, solder joints, and insulation integrity.
• Perform electrical testing (capacitance, ESR, leakage current, withstand voltage) using approved test equipment.
• Identify defects, segregate non-conforming products, and report abnormalities to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.

Machine Operation & Maintenance

• Set up, calibrate, and operate assembly line machinery under supervision.
• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments to ensure smooth operation.
• Report equipment malfunctions promptly and assist maintenance teams when required.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and EHS guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
• Comply with ISO, quality management, and production documentation standards.

Teamwork & Coordination

• Coordinate with supervisors, quality inspectors, and maintenance staff to meet production targets.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and waste reduction.
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills and process knowledge.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related fields.
• 10th / 12th pass candidates with relevant experience may also be considered.

Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of electrical components and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read simple technical drawings and follow SOPs.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, multimeters).

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail and quality consciousness.
• Ability to work in shifts and meet production deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Experience

• 0–3 years of experience in capacitor manufacturing, electronics assembly, or similar production environments.
• Freshers with technical aptitude and a willingness to learn are welcome.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced assembly line environment.
• Standing for long periods and handling small components.
• Exposure to electrical testing equipment, soldering tools, and automated machinery.
