Job Summary
The Retail Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the retail store. The role ensures that all electrical systems operate safely and efficiently to support daily store operations.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, lighting systems, and electrical equipment in the retail store.
Ensure proper functioning of lighting, air conditioning systems, billing counters, and display electrical systems.
Perform routine electrical maintenance and safety inspections.
Quickly identify and troubleshoot electrical faults and repair them.
Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and company policies.
Maintain power supply for store operations during business hours.
Coordinate with external electrical contractors when required.
Maintain records of electrical maintenance and repairs.
Support store setup activities such as lighting installation for new displays or sections.
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems quickly.
Understanding of electrical safety procedures.
Basic knowledge of tools and electrical equipment.
Ability to work under pressure during store operating hours.
Qualification
ITI / Diploma in Electrician or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 1–3 years experience in electrical maintenance (Retail / Commercial buildings preferred).
Other Requirements
Basic communication skills.
Ability to respond quickly to electrical issues.
Willingness to work in shifts if required.
