ROLE OVERVIEW
You will be the operational backbone of Shree Abhi Solar, taking complete
ownership of all project execution, maintenance operations, and team
management. This role is critical to freeing up the MD from day-to-day firefighting
and ensuring smooth, profitable, on-time project delivery as we scale from ₹5 CR to
₹50 CR.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Execution (60% of time)
• Own end-to-end execution of all solar installation projects (from mobilization
to commissioning)
• Ensure 100% on-time, on-budget, zero-defect project delivery
• Daily site visits and quality inspections across all active projects
• Coordinate with vendors for timely material delivery and equipment
availability
• Manage grid approval processes, coordination with TANGEDCO and local
authorities
• Resolve site-level issues immediately without escalation to MD
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules using project management
tools (Monday.com/MS Project)
Team Management (25% of time)
• Lead, mentor, and manage 40-50 person execution team (supervisors,
electricians, technicians, installers)
• Conduct daily stand-up meetings with site supervisors
• Performance management: set targets, track KPIs, provide feedback
• Recruitment support for execution team expansion
• Safety protocol enforcement - zero tolerance for safety violations
• Skill development and technical training programs for team
Process & Systems (10% of time)
• Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all operational
processes
• Implement quality checkpoints at each project phase
• Create templates for project handover, client training, maintenance
schedules
• Build vendor evaluation and management framework
• Generate weekly operational reports for MD review
Maintenance Operations (5% of time)
• Oversee all ongoing 25-year maintenance contracts
• Preventive maintenance scheduling and execution
• Quick response team for breakdowns and issues
• Client satisfaction monitoring for maintenance contracts
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering
• 8-12 years managing solar/construction/infrastructure projects
• Proven track record of managing 20+ concurrent projects
• Experience managing 30+ person teams
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, grid connectivity
• Excellent problem-solving under pressure
• Fluent in English, Tamil, and Hindi
Highly Preferred:
• Prior experience in solar rooftop or power plant projects (500 KW+ scale)
• Familiarity with TANGEDCO/DISCOM approval processes
• Experience with Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
• Knowledge of project management software (MS Project, Primavera,
Monday.com)
• Electrical contractor license or site engineer certifications
