
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) from a recognized university
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (M.Sc. Nursing) – preferred (Medical-Surgical Nursing / Nursing Administration preferred)
- Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (R.N. & R.M.) with the State Nursing Council
Experience:
- Minimum 10–15 years of total experience in clinical nursing
- At least 5–7 years of experience in a senior nursing administrative role (Deputy Nursing Superintendent / Nursing Superintendent / equivalent)
Age Limit: Usually up to 55–58 years (as per institutional policy)
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
- In-depth knowledge of hospital operations, nursing standards, and quality systems
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office, Hospital Information System)
- Ability to handle stressful situations and make critical decisions
- Strong knowledge of NABH standards, infection control, and patient safety protocols
- Good administrative and organizational skills
Reporting Structure
- Directly supervises: Deputy Nursing Superintendent, Assistant Nursing Superintendents, Ward In-charges / Nursing Supervisors, and all nursing staff.
