Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to oversee construction, maintenance, and infrastructure development for our restaurant outlets and meat processing plant. The role involves ensuring structural integrity, hygiene compliance, and efficient facility management aligned with industry and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Construction & Project Management

  • Plan, design, and supervise construction/renovation of restaurant outlets and meat processing facilities
  • Prepare project schedules, cost estimates, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities)
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure timely project completion
  • Monitor site progress and ensure adherence to approved drawings and specifications

2. Facility Maintenance & Infrastructure

  • Oversee routine maintenance of buildings, drainage systems, flooring, and structural components
  • Ensure proper functioning of water supply, sewage, and waste management systems
  • Conduct regular inspections and initiate preventive maintenance activities

3. Hygiene & Compliance (Food Industry Focus)

  • Ensure infrastructure complies with food safety and hygiene standards (FSSAI guidelines)
  • Maintain proper drainage, washable surfaces, and contamination-free layouts in processing areas
  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams to meet sanitation and audit requirements

4. Layout Planning & Optimization

  • Design efficient layouts for kitchen, storage, cold rooms, and processing units
  • Optimize space utilization for smooth workflow and safety
  • Ensure segregation of raw and processed food areas

5. Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure all civil works comply with local building codes and safety regulations
  • Implement workplace safety measures (fire exits, non-slip flooring, ventilation, etc.)
  • Assist in obtaining necessary approvals and licenses

6. Vendor & Cost Management

  • Identify and evaluate contractors and suppliers
  • Negotiate contracts and monitor expenses within budget
  • Verify bills and ensure cost control

7. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain project documentation, drawings, and maintenance records
  • Prepare daily/weekly progress reports
  • Track project timelines and highlight delays or risks

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech)
  • 2-4 years of experience 

Key Skills

  • Knowledge of construction materials and techniques
  • Understanding of food safety infrastructure requirements
  • Project management and coordination skills
  • AutoCAD or similar design software knowledge
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
