Description

Job Roles and Responsibilities 

1. Electrical System Maintenance

  • Install, inspect, and maintain all electrical wiring and control panels in the EC sheds.
  • Ensure proper functioning of MCB, switchboards, and electrical distribution systems.
  • Regularly check for loose connections, overheating wires, or electrical faults.

2. Equipment Maintenance

  • Maintain electrical equipment such as:
    • Exhaust fans
    • Cooling pad pumps
    • Feed motors
    • Manure belt motors
    • Cross conveyor motors
    • Lighting systems (DC lights / LED lights)
  • Ensure motors and pumps are running smoothly without overheating.

3. Lighting System Management

  • Install and maintain shed lighting systems for proper bird management.
  • Replace damaged bulbs, DC lights, and wiring.
  • Ensure proper light intensity as per farm management requirements.

4. Preventive Maintenance

  • Perform daily and weekly inspections of electrical equipment.
  • Lubricate motors and check electrical load to prevent breakdown.
  • Maintain backup systems like generator and electrical panels.

5. Troubleshooting & Repair

  • Identify and repair electrical faults, short circuits, or equipment failures.
  • Attend emergency breakdowns immediately to avoid impact on birds.

6. Safety Compliance

  • Follow electrical safety procedures to prevent accidents.
  • Ensure proper earthing and insulation of electrical systems.
  • Maintain safety around wet areas near cooling pads.

7. Record Keeping

  • Maintain maintenance logs for motors, pumps, and electrical equipment.
  • Record repairs, spare parts used, and replacement dates.

8. Coordination with Farm Team

  • Work closely with farm supervisor and maintenance team.
  • Assist in installation of new electrical equipment or shed upgrades.
