Description

Roles & Responsibilities – CNC Machine Setter

  • Set up and operate CNC machines for gear manufacturing.
  • Load materials, tools, and machine programs as per production requirements.
  • Read engineering drawings and follow work instructions.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments.
  • Check product quality using measuring instruments.
  • Perform tool changes, offsets, and basic machine maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues to reduce downtime.
  • Maintain production and quality records accurately.
  • Follow safety procedures and company standards.
  • Support continuous improvement in productivity and quality.

Working Conditions

  • Rotational shifts may be applicable.
  • Work involves standing for long hours and handling machine tools/materials.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma / ITI / Vocational Training in Mechanical or Machining Technology preferred.
  • Experience as a CNC Machine Setter in gear manufacturing or related industries.
  • Knowledge of CNC machine setup, tooling, offsets, and basic programming.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Basic computer knowledge for machine operation and data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety practices in manufacturing industries.
