Description

CNC Operator Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload raw materials into the machine
  • Set tools, offsets, and work coordinates as per job setup
  • Read and understand engineering drawings and job orders
  • Monitor machine operations and ensure production quality
  • Perform in-process inspections using measuring instruments
  • Maintain production records and daily reports
  • Replace worn-out tools and inform maintenance team if required
  • Ensure dimensional accuracy of finished components
  • Follow production targets and minimize rejection
  • Maintain cleanliness and 5S in the work area
  • Follow company safety rules and PPE requirements

VMC Operator Responsibilities

  • Operate Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines
  • Load programs and verify machining operations
  • Clamp jobs properly and ensure fixture alignment
  • Set tool offsets and perform tool changes
  • Check component dimensions using vernier, micrometer, and gauges
  • Monitor coolant levels and machine performance
  • Identify machining defects and correct minor issues
  • Maintain machine utilization and productivity
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance activities
  • Record production quantity and inspection details
  • Coordinate with supervisors and quality department
  • Follow safety procedures and housekeeping standards
