Springs CNC Machine Operator – Roles & Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC spring forming/coiling machines according to production requirements.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
Load raw materials (wire) into the machine and ensure proper feeding.
Adjust machine parameters such as speed, pitch, diameter, and length to meet specifications.
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring instruments (e.g., vernier calipers, micrometers, spring testers).
Monitor machine performance and identify abnormalities during production.
Make minor machine adjustments to maintain product quality.
Replace tooling, guides, and worn machine parts as required.
Maintain production records, inspection reports, and machine logs.
Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Follow preventive maintenance schedules and perform routine machine cleaning.
Adhere to workplace safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Maintain 5S and good housekeeping in the work area.
Report machine breakdowns, quality issues, and material shortages to the supervisor.
Work with the quality and maintenance teams to resolve production issues.
Meet daily production targets while minimizing scrap and downtime.

Basic understanding of CNC machines and their purpose.
