JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for leading the Quality function for Control Panels, PLC Panels, MCC & Drive Panels. Ensure zero-defect delivery, ISO 9001:2015 compliance, and customer complaint closure. Will manage IQC, IPQC, FQC, and QA teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Quality Management System (QMS)Own and maintain ISO 9001:2015, UL 508A documentation, audits (Internal & External), MRM.Prepare and update SOPs, WI, Control Plans, FMEA, and 8D Reports.2. Incoming, In-Process & Final QualityLead IQC for bought-outs: PLCs, Drives, Relays, Sensors, MCB/MCCB, wires.Implement IPQC & FQC for wiring, assembly, ferruling, torque, continuity, HV test, functional testing.Ensure FAT & customer inspection clearance with 100% compliance.3. Customer Complaints & CAPAHandle customer complaints, warranty returns. Drive RCA using 5Why, Fishbone, 8D.Implement CAPA and track effectiveness.
Target: <1>7 days.4. Team & Process ImprovementLead a team of 4-8 Quality Engineers / Inspectors. Train production team on quality standards.Drive 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, SPC. Reduce rework, rejection, COPQ.Coordinate with Production, Design, Purchase & Service for quality improvements.5. Reporting & DocumentationDaily/Monthly Quality MIS: Rejection PPM, Rework %, First Pass Yield, Audit NCs.Maintain calibration of measuring instruments, test jigs, multimeters, megger.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATION
Education: BE / B.Tech in EEE / ECE / Mechanical / MechatronicsTechnical: Strong knowledge of Control Panel Standards (IEC 61439, IS 8623), wiring standards, electrical safety tests. Hands-on with Quality Tools: 7QC, SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP.Tools: MS Excel (Advanced), ERP, QMS softwareSoft Skills: Leadership, auditing, decision-making, supplier quality management, Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 ,Experience in Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Delta panel projects
