Description

The Electrical Team Member supports the safe and reliable operation of electrical systems and equipment for Glass  at the Oragadam / Sriperambudur facility within the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) framework and in line with the Principles of Conduct and Action of Saint-Gobain.

The role is responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement activities to ensure equipment availability, safety, and operational efficiency. The incumbent works closely with production, maintenance, contractors, and cross-functional teams to reduce downtime, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with electrical safety and statutory requirements

  • Responsible for electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities during shift operations.
  • Attend and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted production
  • Perform maintenance and repair activities on electrical panels, transformers, drives, compressors, and other plant electrical equipment
  • Prepare and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Ensure adherence to preventive and predictive maintenance plans and monitor their effectiveness
  • Drive continuous improvement projects using the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodology
  • Lead and promote 5S implementation initiatives across the plant to maintain workplace organization and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and actively drive safety improvement initiatives
  • Identify and implement opportunities for equipment optimization, energy savings, and process improvements
  • Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to achieve operational and maintenance objectives
