Project: Coimbatore Corporation Smart City Project (Maintenance of 7 Lakes Across Coimbatore)
Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Job Summary

The Security Manager is responsible for leading and managing security operations across all seven lakes maintained under the Coimbatore Corporation Smart City Project. The role ensures the safety of visitors, employees, public assets, and project infrastructure while maintaining law and order in high-footfall public spaces. The Security Manager will supervise all security personnel, coordinate with government authorities, and ensure effective crowd management, emergency response, and public safety.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage end-to-end security operations across all 7 lake locations in Coimbatore.
Supervise, deploy, train, and monitor Security Guards and Security Officer to ensure 24/7 security coverage.
Maintain safety, discipline, and security within public spaces, recreational areas, walkways, children's play areas, parking zones, and commercial establishments.
Handle crowd management during weekends, festivals, public events, and high visitor footfall.
Prevent unauthorized activities, theft, vandalism, encroachments, alcohol consumption, public nuisance, and damage to government property.
Conduct regular security patrols and inspections to identify and mitigate security risks.
Coordinate with Coimbatore City Police, Fire & Rescue Services, Corporation Officials, and other government authorities during emergencies.
Investigate incidents, accidents, complaints, and security breaches, and submit detailed reports with corrective actions.
Monitor CCTV systems, access control, visitor movement, and vehicle management.
Ensure strict implementation of security policies, SOPs, emergency response plans, and statutory compliance.
Prepare duty rosters, manage manpower deployment, monitor attendance, and evaluate the performance of security staff.
Conduct regular mock drills, security training, and awareness programs for the security team.

Excellent communication and coordination with government agencies.
Ability to manage multiple locations simultaneously.

Qualification

Graduate in any discipline.
Ex-Servicemen Army, Retired Police Personnel preferred.

Experience

8–15 years of experience in security operations.
Minimum 5 years in a Security Manager or equivalent leadership role.
Experience in managing public parks, lakes, government projects, smart city projects, commercial complexes, or other high-footfall public spaces is highly preferred.
