Production / Workshop Manager – Machine Manufacturing

A machine manufacturing company based in Trichy is looking for an experienced and responsible Production / Workshop Manager to manage day-to-day manufacturing activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate welders, turners, fitters and other workshop employees.
  • Plan and monitor daily production and fabrication work.
  • Allocate jobs to workers and ensure timely completion.
  • Read and understand mechanical drawings, fabrication drawings and assembly drawings.
  • Supervise machining, welding, fitting and machine assembly activities.
  • Maintain raw-material, spare-parts and finished-goods inventory.
  • Coordinate material purchase and ensure availability of required components.
  • Monitor production quality, dimensional accuracy and workmanship.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of machines, tools and workshop equipment.
  • Track job progress, production delays, wastage and rework.
  • Maintain production, inventory and employee work records.
  • Ensure workplace safety, discipline and cleanliness.
  • Coordinate with management, design team, suppliers and customers when required.
