Operate VMC machines as per production plans and work instructions.
Load and unload raw materials and finished components safely.
Set up fixtures, cutting tools, and workpieces for machining.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and CNC programs.
Monitor machining operations and make offset adjustments as required.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
Ensure components meet dimensional tolerances and quality specifications.
Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
Report machine breakdowns, tool wear, quality issues, and production delays to the supervisor.
Maintain production records, inspection reports, and machine logbooks.
Follow 5S, safety procedures, and company quality standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Qualification
ITI (Machinist/Turner/Fitter) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
CNC/VMC certification is an added advantage.
Experience
Fresher to 3 years of experience in operating VMC/CNC machines.
Experience in automotive, tool room, precision machining, or manufacturing industries is preferred.
