Maintenance of Electrical Systems
Maintain and service motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, DG sets, substations, and power distribution systems.
Perform routine inspections, testing, and calibration to prevent failures.
Troubleshooting & Repairs
Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, including short circuits, overloads, and equipment malfunctions
Carry out root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules to extend equipment life and reduce unplanned downtime I
Use predictive maintenance techniques (e.g., condition monitoring) to anticipate failures.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all electrical work complies with statutory safety standards and industry regulations
Monitor and enforce safe working practices in the mill environment.
Coordination & Support
Work closely with production teams, mechanical engineers, and vendors during shutdowns, breakdowns, and project works.
Provide technical support for new installations, upgrades, and modifications.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate electrical drawings, schematics, and maintenance records.
Prepare reports on maintenance activities, fault analyses, and energy efficiency measures.
Energy & Cost Management
Support energy conservation initiatives and optimise electrical system performance to reduce operating costs
