
A Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site service and customer support for a variety of technical equipment and systems. This may include troubleshooting, installing, repairing, and maintaining hardware and software. They may also be required to provide customer training and instruction on the use of the equipment. They may even be responsible for providing technical support over the phone or through remote access. Roles and Responsibilities: • Setting up new equipment and ensuring it operates correctly. • Performing proactive service checks and preventive maintenance to keep equipment in optimal working condition. • Diagnosing and fixing issues with malfunctioning equipment. • Identifying problems and implementing solutions to restore equipment functionality and reduce downtime. • Providing technical support and guidance to customers, ensuring they understand how to use and maintain their equipment. • Keeping detailed records of services performed, assets used, and customer interactions. • Quoting new services and parts directly in the field by using mobile tools that provide instant access to pricing information. • Frequently going to various customer sites to provide on-site service. • Operate vehicle in a safely manner and use field automation systems. • Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols. • Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organisation. • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings. • Build positive relationships with customers.
