
Business Development Executive (BDE) Job Description
Position Overview
The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for driving revenue growth, identifying new business opportunities, and building long-term relationships with clients. This role focuses on active lead generation, consultative selling, client onboarding, and expanding the company's market footprint.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Pipeline Building
Prospect, identify, and qualify potential B2B clients through cold calling, email outreach, networking, and digital channels (LinkedIn, industry events).
Manage the end-to-end sales pipeline from initial outbound contact through deal closing.
Build and maintain a target contact list within key industry verticals.
2. Client Relationship & Consultative Sales
Conduct discovery meetings and sales pitches to understand client needs and align software, product, or service offerings accordingly.
Prepare and present tailored business proposals, service contracts, and commercial presentations.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract details to close deals while maintaining healthy margins.
3. Account Management & Growth
Serve as the main point of contact during initial client onboarding and ensure seamless handover to account managers or technical delivery teams.
Nurture ongoing client relationships to identify upselling, cross-selling, and renewal opportunities.
4. Market Research & CRM Oversight
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to refine pitch messaging and targeting strategies.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, prospect statuses, and deal stage updates in the company CRM.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and leadership teams to align campaign strategies with sales targets.
