JOB SUMMARY

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and customer support for company products at customer locations. The role requires strong technical and problem-solving skills, customer-service orientation, safety awareness, and willingness to travel extensively. The technician will represent the company at customer sites and ensure timely service, equipment reliability, minimum downtime, and high customer satisfaction.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installation & Commissioning: Install and commission products according to company standards; perform operational testing, safety checks, and customer demonstrations before final handover.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled maintenance, inspect equipment for potential failures, replace minor components/consumables, maintain service schedules, and recommend corrective actions.
• Breakdown & Troubleshooting: Attend customer complaints promptly and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electronic faults; repair/replace defective components and restore equipment with minimum downtime.
• Customer Support: Respond professionally to customer queries, provide product-operation and basic maintenance training, explain best practices, and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Service Documentation: Prepare service reports after every visit, record spare parts used, update and maintain installation records, and submit travel/expense reports on time.
• Spare Parts & Tools: Maintain service tools and commonly required spare parts, coordinate with stores for availability, ensure proper use of company assets, and report defective tools/instruments.
• Quality & Safety: Follow company SOPs, safety procedures, electrical/mechanical standards, PPE requirements, and maintain professional cleanliness at customer sites.
• Travel & Field Support: Travel extensively across Kerala and neighboring states, stay at customer locations when required, respond to emergency service calls, and provide support beyond normal hours during critical breakdowns.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring technical issues, provide feedback for product/service improvements, continuously upgrade technical knowledge, and take ownership of assigned service regions.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Educational Qualification: ITI – Fitter/Electrician/Mechanic/Electronics or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering. Industrial maintenance/vocational certification is an advantage.

Experience: Freshers with strong technical aptitude may apply; 1-10 years of field service, maintenance, installation, or manufacturing experience is preferred.
