Established by Mr. Jayachandran, a textile technocrat with more than three decades of experience in textile field, in the early 1980’s, Ramachandran Textiles is a flourishing textile enterprise based at the heart of Trivandrum city.
With separate outlets for gents, ladies and kids, spread across the crowded street that connects Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple, which hit the headlines lately for being one of the richest temples in the world, to the Pazhavangadi Maha Ganapathy temple in East Fort, Ramachandran Textiles has everything for the kid at your home to the elderlies.
Apart from catering to the textile needs of their customers Ramachandran also has separate outlets for footwear, shoes, bags and other accessories for men and women.
Owing to the success of the enterprise, the very street that their shops occupy, which was previously known as Pazhavangadi Street, has come to be known as Ramachandran Lane.
After the whooping success of Ramachandran Textiles, Mr. Jayachandran considered business expansion and hence Jayachandran Textiles. Originally started in 1998 in a single building at No. 27, Ranganathan Street, Chennai, it now occupies five independent buildings in Ranganathan Street, and one in Usman Road, near Panagal Park, Chennai.
Later in the year 2000, the group ventured in jewelry business by opening up Jayachandran Gold House. Other than the offline stores they have also launched www.jtplaza.com in 2012, which has now become the largest online store for textiles and related accessories.
Currently all the establishments are being ably looked after by the next generation of the family with Mr. Jayachandran as the sole proprietor
