Study product drawing and prepare Solid model from Autocad/ Solidworks drawing and ensure all features are on nominal dimensions.
Prepare CNC part program for machining – Manual programming or using Mastercam based on speed and reliability
Transfer part programs to respective CNC machines, evaluate the operations and prove the program for the chosen machining operations.
Secure and save the program and protect the program from hacking.
Continual improvement to reduce process cycle time and corresponding program amendments
Ensure process capability of Cpk > 1.33 in all machining operations.
Provide support to Process Engineering team in preparation of process sheets as and when necessary.
Participate in Process trials and provide support to Process Engineering team.
Maintain 5S in respective work location with a view for continual improvement.
Assist selection of job specific cutting tools and accessories to improve Quality, Throughput and reduce Cycle time and Cost.
This position reports to Manager – Manufacturing Support Engineering and will be responsible for all CNC & Mastercam Programs.
