Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder (MIG / ARC) to join our fabrication/production team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and ARC (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) processes and be capable of reading engineering drawings and performing quality welds as per specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform welding operations using MIG and ARC welding techniques on mild steel, stainless steel, and/or other materials.
Interpret and work from fabrication drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Set up welding machines and tools based on job requirements.
Inspect welded surfaces, structure, and fixtures for quality and accuracy.
Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, or grinding before welding.
Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Identify and report material or equipment issues to the supervisor.
Assist in assembly and fabrication of components as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
Qualifications and Skills:
ITI / Diploma in Welding / Fabrication or equivalent.
Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in MIG and ARC welding.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
Strong knowledge of different welding materials and techniques.
Understanding of welding safety procedures and practices.
Physically fit to perform manual tasks and work in various positions (standing, bending, etc.).
Certification in welding (if applicable) is a plus.
