
Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all products, materials, and processes meet established quality standards and customer requirements. This role involves conducting inspections, identifying defects, documenting findings, and coordinating with the production team to resolve quality issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect Incoming Materials:
Check raw materials and components for defects, damage, or non-conformance.
Verify supplier documentation and quality certificates.
In-Process Inspection:
Conduct regular inspections during production.
Ensure products meet dimensional and visual quality standards.
Report deviations immediately to the supervisor/production team.
Final Product Inspection:
Perform final quality checks before dispatch.
Ensure packaging, labeling, and documentation are correct.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain inspection reports and quality records.
Prepare NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) for defective items.
Update daily inspection logs.
Quality Standards & Compliance:
Follow ISO, QMS, and company quality procedures.
Ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
Problem Identification & Coordination:
Identify root causes of defects.
Work with production to implement corrective actions.
Recommend process improvements to avoid recurring issues.
Tools & Equipment Handling:
Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, GO/NO-GO gauges, etc.
Ensure calibration and proper upkeep of inspection tools.
Safety & Housekeeping:
Follow all safety rules and maintain cleanliness at the workplace.
Skills & Qualifications:
1–3 years of experience in quality inspection (freshers can also be considered depending on company needs)
Knowledge of measuring instruments and quality standards
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Good communication and reporting skills
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
